Short presentation: Daniel Barrera-Fernández is Professor at the Faculty of Architecture CU of the Autonomous University of Oaxaca “Benito Juárez”. He obtained his degree in Architecture at the University of Seville and his doctoral degree at the University of Malaga, where he achieved the Extraordinary Doctoral Distinction for his doctoral thesis “Schools of thoughts in heritage and tourism management of the historic city”. His research interests focus on preservation and integration of built heritage, cultural policy, urban tourism, city marketing, regeneration of run-down neighbourhoods and gentrification. His publications can be found in the platforms Academia.edu and ResearchGate.
