Chiara Diana

Chiara Diana received her PhD in History from the IREMAM-Aix-Marseille University (France) in 2015. She is currently Post-Doc Researcher LabexMed-AMU at the OMAM, Free University of Brussels. Her post-doc research project (Tunisia and Egypt: memories of two revolutions between ordinary representations and official constructions) deals with patrimonialisation of individual and collective memories of Tunisian and Egyptian revolutions. She is also Research Assistant for the research project Globally sensitive: revolt, citizenship and expectations for the future in North Africa at the Institute of Social Sciences, University of Lisbon. In the past, she worked as a teacher (University of Paris III, Aix-Marseille University) and a consultant (World Bank). Her current research interests include memory, revolutionary and postrevolutionary times, childhood, youth activism in MENA region and in diaspora. She is founder-member of the Association of Middle East Children’s and Youth Studies (AMECYS).
