Current Research
My research focuses on the notion of Intangible Cultural heritage (ICH) since its emergence within UNESCO policies and considers the actual issues of the implementation of the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage (national inventories, international lists, safeguarding programmes). My approach is founded on an ethnography of the institution and a multi-site comparative anthropology of the implementation of international policies by national administrations and local actors.
