Elizabeth Vignati has a PhD in archaeology (obtained in 1995 at Paris I – Panthéon Sorbonne on Burundi Iron Age metal working).
Recently she has started to work on Uganda Archaeological Heritage. She did some Iron Age archaeological survey in 1998 in the south-western part of Uganda, and did two other visits in 2010 and 2011.
Her main concern is to evaluate what can be done in term of preservation, conservation and heritagisations of the archaeological sites in association with local development.
