Sarah Rojon

Sarah Rojon (University Jean Monnet of Saint-Etienne, member of the Université de Lyon, Centre Max Weber – UMR 5283) is a PhD student working on urban heritagization through the lens of post-industrial imagery, under the direction of Pr. Michel Rautenberg (University Jean Monnet of Saint-Etienne) and Dr. Bella Dicks (Cardiff School of Social Sciences). Committed to conducting an ethnographic inquiry, she explores the practices of display from digital networks and analyses their connections with offline experiences. Her current research deals with two geographical regions in the French and British contexts. The cities of Saint-Etienne and Swansea have been chosen as respective references for being both significant former industrial centers. Funding for this project was provided by a grant from la Région Rhône-Alpes.
